About the event
The Program:
We often talk about contraindications and precautions with estrogen-containing contraceptives, but we rarely discuss the WHY. In this program we will discuss the impact of estrogen on clotting factors and why estrogen can increase the risk of thromboembolism. Balancing risk and benefits of any medication use is important. We will also discuss with an ObGyn how she manages contraception in her patient population. Am interactive Q&A session will follow.
